With Juvederm or Restylane, if something comes out wrong, there’s a fix. Hyaluronidase, an enzyme, dissolves HA filler in the office. Radiesse doesn’t have that option. It isn’t HA-based, and hyaluronidase does nothing to it. If the result isn’t right, there’s no undo button. That’s the fact that should shape how you think about choosing where to get it — more than price, more than how long it lasts.
Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite, suspended in a gel carrier and injected beneath the skin to add structure. That’s a different material than the HA fillers we also offer — the Juvederm family (Ultra Plus XC, Voluma XC, Volbella XC, Vollure XC) and the Restylane family (Kysse, Lyft, Refyne, Defyne, Silk).
We carry three non-HA fillers. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid — it doesn’t add volume the day you walk out of the office, it works through collagen stimulation over weeks and months. Bellafill is PMMA. Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite. Three materials, three timelines, three ways of behaving once they’re under your skin.
We’re not telling you which of the three is “best.” That gets decided in person, against your actual face, in a conversation about what you’re trying to fix and how long you’re willing to wait to see it.
It Doesn’t Come Back Out
Unlike Juvederm and Restylane, Radiesse cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase if the result isn’t right. With an HA filler, a mistake is usually a phone call and a follow-up appointment. With Radiesse, you live with it until the material breaks down on its own.
Overfilling is the number-one reason filler looks bad, across every product we carry. That risk carries more weight here, because there’s no correction step waiting on the other side of it. An injector who’s slightly heavy-handed with an HA filler can be talked back from that mistake within the week. An injector who’s slightly heavy-handed with Radiesse has made a decision that sticks around.
Two injectors using the exact same syringe of the exact same product can produce completely different results. That’s true of every filler we offer. With Radiesse, restraint isn’t just good practice. It’s the only correction mechanism you have.
Who’s Legally Allowed to Inject It in Florida
Florida law requires that filler be injected by a licensed medical professional — an MD, an ARNP, a PA, or an RN working under physician supervision. That requirement exists for every filler we offer, Radiesse included. If you’re ever unsure whether the person about to inject you meets that standard, ask before you sit down. It’s a reasonable question, not a rude one.
On the Cheap Filler Ads
You’ll see filler priced well below market around Miami — $299 Groupon-style deals. The usual risks apply: counterfeit product, undertrained injectors, syringes diluted beyond what you’re paying for. With an HA filler, a bad outcome from one of those risks can sometimes be corrected. With Radiesse, it can’t.
What Gets Decided at the Consultation
Pricing for Radiesse isn’t published up front, because the amount of product a jawline needs isn’t the amount a cheek needs, and we’re not going to quote you a number before we’ve looked at the area. What we will tell you at the consultation is whether Radiesse is actually the right material for what you’re trying to fix — and if an HA filler is the better answer, that’s what we’ll say, even after you came in asking about Radiesse specifically.
If what you’re dealing with is loose or textured skin rather than lost volume, that’s a conversation about laser skin tightening and resurfacing, not filler at all.
Book the consultation and we’ll figure out which material actually earns a place on your face.
